Netflix Acquires Adam McKay’s “Average Height, Average Build” Featuring Star-Studded Cast
After some hesitation, Netflix has acquired Adam McKay’s upcoming movie “Average Height, Average Build”, which boasts an impressive cast including Robert Pattinson, Robert Downey Jr., Amy Adams, Forest Whitaker, and Danielle Deadwyler. The film revolves around Pattinson’s character, a serial killer who manipulates politicians to make the law “murderer-friendly”. More names are expected to be announced as the production process draws near.
McKay, known for his work on “The Big Short” and “Vice”, also collaborated with Netflix on his latest movie “Don’t Look Up”, which starred Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, and Meryl Streep. Like “Don’t Look Up”, “Average Height, Average Build” will tackle sociopolitical issues using dark humor with an equally impressive cast. Despite the success of “Don’t Look Up”, which garnered about 360 million hours of viewing in its first 28 days and four Oscar nominations, including Best Picture, “Average Height, Average Build” was skipped by studios due to its high budget. Nonetheless, Netflix has taken on the project with caution.
Adam McKay will direct and write the movie, which will begin shooting in Boston in late summer. Fans of the actors involved in the movie can expect to see more names added to the already star-studded cast as the production moves forward.
