Provincial Police Department Cracks Down on Illegal Cigarette and Macaron Trade
The Provincial Police Department’s Anti-Smuggling and Organized Crime Branch has taken action to prevent the illegal trade of cigarettes and macarons. In a recent operation in Central Çukurova and Yüreğir districts, police raided 2 addresses and detained 3 suspects.
During the raids, a total of 6,080 packs of cigarettes and 1,710,000 macarons were seized from the addresses. The suspects are currently being questioned by authorities as the investigation into the illegal trade continues.
This crackdown on illegal trade serves as a reminder that the Provincial Police Department is committed to tackling organized crime and smuggling activities in the region.
