Bishkek to Replace 100 More Elevators in Multi-Storey Buildings

Bishkek, 23 May 2024 – The Director of Bishkekgorlift municipal enterprise, Mairambek Samanchiev, announced that at least 100 more elevators will be replaced in multi-storey buildings in Bishkek. This decision was made during a meeting of the Standing Committee on Housing and Communal Services, Fuel and Energy Complex, Transport, Communications, and Ecology of the Bishkek City Council.

Samanchiev stated that the service life of 60-70 percent of elevators in the capital has already ended, requiring replacement. In 2023, 100 elevators were replaced, and the same number is planned for this year.

This initiative aims to improve the safety and efficiency of elevators in Bishkek’s buildings, ensuring that residents have reliable and modern facilities for their daily use.

The replacement of elevators is part of ongoing efforts to upgrade infrastructure in the city and provide better living conditions for its residents. It is important to prioritize the maintenance and renovation of essential services to enhance the overall quality of life in Bishkek.
