Additional Flights Added to Bus Station for Election Mobility – Latest News Update
Turkish bus companies are facing a surge in demand ahead of the Presidential and 28th Term Parliamentary Elections on May 14, 2023. All Bus Drivers Federation (TOF) president Mustafa Yıldırım said that the main intensity will be experienced on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with additional buses being put on to accommodate increased numbers of voters. Yıldırım noted that there are also arrivals from Anatolia and that all buses are currently full, particularly in the earthquake zone. Political parties have rented buses to transport voters and students from open universities are also traveling to vote. The surge in passenger numbers has reportedly affected the market slightly. Yıldırım said there will be an intensity of 5-6 days in total regarding the election and reminded travelers to be cautious when carrying pirates and pay attention to unregistered flights made from outside the bus station.
