Police Neutralize Person Who Cut His Own Throat in Adıyaman
According to reports, a person wielding a box cutter and behaving aggressively in Yeni Mahalle Running Park was reported by citizens to the local police. Upon arrival at the scene, police attempted to stop the individual who was advancing towards the Governorship Junction with the box cutter in hand. However, the person managed to escape from the park and continued to run away when approached by the police.
Despite repeated warnings to drop the knife, the individual, identified as ZA and allegedly suffering from psychological problems, refused to comply. As a result, the police aimed a gun at the person, who then cut his own throat with the knife.
Following the incident, the police neutralized the person and confiscated the knife. Medical teams were called to the scene and the individual was taken to the Adıyaman Training and Research Hospital for treatment.
An ongoing investigation is being conducted into the matter.
