Air Astana to Operate Additional Flights on Almaty-Baku Route for Novruz Celebrations
As the Novruz celebrations approach, Kazakhstan’s airline Air Astana has announced plans to operate an additional flight on the Almaty-Baku route in the second half of March. This decision comes in response to the increased demand for air travel during this festive period.
According to information from the press service of the Civil Aviation Committee of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Transport, Kazakh airlines have scheduled a total of 120 additional flights between March 16 and March 30, 2025. Air Astana will be operating 55 extra flights, FlyArystan will operate 33 flights, and SCAT will account for 32 flights during this time.
The Novruz celebrations, which mark the coming of spring and the New Year in Azerbaijan, are a time of joy and festivities for many. The increase in air travel demand during this period highlights the importance of providing additional flight options to accommodate passengers traveling between Almaty and Baku.
