Aizhamal Shambetova Takes on Deputy Minister Role in Kyrgyzstan’s Health Ministry
Bishkek, 13 October 2023 – Aizhamal Shambetova has been appointed as the Deputy Minister of Health of Kyrgyzstan, according to a report by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers. The order was signed by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Akylbek Japarov.
Prior to her appointment, Shambetova served as the Director of the United Family Medicine Center in the Talas region and also worked as a coordinator for the Ministry of Health in the same region.
The Health Minister, Alymkadyr Beishenaliev, had previously announced that Shambetova would be in charge of medical affairs. This appointment comes after the resignation of former deputy ministers, Tilek Mamadaliev and Ulan Sadykov.
Shambetova’s appointment is expected to contribute to the ongoing efforts to strengthen the healthcare system in Kyrgyzstan. Her experience in the field and her previous roles within the Ministry of Health make her well-suited for this new position.
