AK Party’s 8th Ordinary Congress took place in Ankara, where President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan delivered important messages in various topics during his speech at the congress.
Describing the AK Party congress as a renewal, Erdoğan stated, “Since its establishment, AK Party has been a political organization that has been constantly renewing, changing, and developing for 24 years.” Emphasizing that the names in AK Party are mortal, Erdoğan said, “The only thing that is eternal is the cause.” President Erdoğan also used the expression, “Our cadres are changeable but our principles are constant.”
In his speech, Erdoğan emphasized that they will achieve the goal of a terrorism-free Turkey. He defined the idea of a terrorism-free Turkey as “an expression of a national consensus with heartfelt support from all segments of society.” Erdoğan stated, “No democratic country can tolerate terrorism’s weapons, political organizations, or extensions. Terrorism and democracy cannot coexist together. Therefore, we say either terrorism or democracy.” President Erdoğan also mentioned, “We will demolish the wall of terrorism and achieve our goal of a terrorism-free Turkey.”
Erdoğan also addressed the Turkish Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (TÜSİAD) General Assembly in his speech. He said, “There is no longer an old Turkey. A group within the business world is trying to revive the dirty opposition mindset.”
Regarding the economy, Erdoğan mentioned that the decrease in inflation will accelerate, leading to an increase in purchasing power, which will be felt positively by 85 million people. He also mentioned that Turkey is on the brink of a great transformation and an exciting economic leap.
President Erdoğan also announced the Turkey Century Reform Program, a comprehensive reform plan that focuses on economic transformation, green and digital transformation, social policies, judiciary and basic rights, and political and administrative regulations to meet the expectations of the country and the people.
In conclusion, Erdoğan thanked the attendees for turning Ankara into a place of celebration for democracy and expressed his gratitude to those who have contributed to the party. He urged the youth and women to take part in the movement, emphasizing their importance in achieving success.
