CHP Leader’s Actions Criticized by AK Party
The recent actions of CHP leader Ozgur Ozel have come under fire from AK Party Deputy Chairman and Party Spokesman Omer Celik. In a statement on social media, Celik criticized Ozel for exhibiting “complete irresponsibility and uncontrolled behavior” and accused him of engaging in political bigotry.
Celik went on to say that Ozel’s targeting of places where coffee and books are sold is a clear display of political fanaticism. He condemned the physical attacks on these establishments and warned that Ozel’s actions are making families, women, young people, and children targets for provocateurs.
Furthermore, Celik pointed out that Ozel’s political line does not align with the principles of democracy and accused him of distorting the political landscape. He described Ozel’s party as having a “Yassiada mentality,” referring to a dark period in Turkish political history.
Celik emphasized the importance of upholding the principles of democracy and respecting the sovereignty of the nation. He criticized Ozel for crossing the line and urged him to reconsider his actions.
In response to these criticisms, Ozel has yet to make a public statement. However, the ongoing feud between the CHP leader and AK Party officials is likely to continue as both parties stand firm in their positions.
