Akçakoca State Hospital Expansion to 50 Beds
The groundbreaking ceremony for a new hospital in Kapkirli District marks the beginning of a significant development in healthcare services in the region. Düzce Governor Selçuk Aslan, in his address, highlighted the importance of last year’s celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Turkey and emphasized the country’s transition into the “Turkey Century” under the visionary leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Governor Aslan stressed the significance of the healthcare sector in this new era and pointed out the necessity for a modern and well-equipped hospital in Akçakoca, a district known for its tourism potential. He expressed confidence in the hospital project, which has been designed to meet the healthcare needs of the region for the next 50 years. AK Party Headquarters Women’s Branch President and Düzce Deputy Ayşe Keşir highlighted the importance of bringing long-awaited healthcare services to the rapidly growing district of Akçakoca. She expressed gratitude for the progress made in the construction of the new hospital, which is set to replace the current facility and expand its services to meet the needs of a growing population.
The project, which is scheduled to be completed in approximately 500 days, aims to deliver a state-of-the-art hospital with advanced medical equipment and specialized units such as dialysis, intensive care, dental, and diabetes care. The new hospital will also feature a conference hall, serving as a modern healthcare facility that prioritizes patient care and wellbeing.
Former Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs, and Communications Ahmet Arslan commended the ongoing efforts to improve healthcare services in Turkey, highlighting the importance of continuous progress and development in the sector. The ceremony was attended by various officials, including Provincial Health Director Yasin Yılmaz, AK Party Düzce Deputy Ercan Öztürk, and Akçakoca Mayor Mehmet Okan Yanmaz, as well as dignitaries and citizens from the region.
