
Akylbek Japarov Encourages Kyrgyz Ambassadors to Innovatively Attract Investors

Economic Diplomacy Emphasized by Kyrgyzstan’s Chairman of the Cabinet
Bishkek – Today, economic diplomacy is more crucial than ever. The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, highlighted this necessity during the meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, focusing on the results of the first half of the year.
Participants of the meeting reviewed the progress made in fulfilling agreements derived from visits by the head of state and the Cabinet leadership, as well as the efforts undertaken by foreign institutions of the Kyrgyz Republic during the reporting period.
Japarov underscored the importance of intensifying efforts to attract investments, incorporate new technologies, knowledge, and innovative solutions, and enhance participation in the export of Kyrgyz products.
He also stressed that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should prioritize securing funding for large-scale infrastructure projects, projects related to renewable energy, the development of major trade and logistics complexes, centers for the production, processing, and storage of agricultural goods, as well as the modernization of international airports in Bishkek and Osh.
The Cabinet head outlined a series of tasks for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign institutions, emphasizing the need for a more proactive, creative, and effective approach in attracting foreign investments.
In conclusion, Japarov stated, “In general, we expect the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and our ambassadors to engage in more dynamic, innovative, and efficient efforts to attract foreign investment.”
