Akylbek Japarov Holds Talks with British Foreign Secretary
Bishkek – 24.kg news agency reported that the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, recently met with the UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, David Cameron.
David Cameron was in the country for an official visit as part of his tour of Central Asia. During the meeting, the two officials discussed various issues related to Kyrgyzstan-UK cooperation.
Akylbek Japarov expressed his gratitude to David Cameron for the assistance provided during his visit to the UK in November 2023. He also mentioned that the parties are actively working towards implementing the agreements that were made during that visit.
One of the important topics of discussion was the potential construction of a plant by Concrete Canvas, a company based in Wales, in Kyrgyzstan. Akylbek Japarov expressed his interest in this project and highlighted that it would be a significant example of successful economic cooperation between the two countries.
David Cameron, on the other hand, expressed his hope that the talks and discussions would lead to a fruitful collaboration and contribute to the development of bilateral cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the UK.
