Akylbek Japarov Joins Aga Khan Trust for Culture

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, recently had a meeting with the General Manager of Aga Khan Trust for Culture, Luis Monreal. The discussions focused on the positive impact the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) has had in various sectors in Kyrgyzstan, such as education, healthcare, microfinance, small business development, infrastructure, tourism, banking, and cultural revitalization.

Japarov praised the efforts of the University of Central Asia, which has played a significant role in providing quality education opportunities for the youth of Kyrgyz Republic, Central Asian countries, and Afghanistan.

On the other hand, Monreal emphasized the organization’s dedication to enhancing cooperation in areas essential for the Kyrgyz Republic. The meeting also delved into topics like reforming the education sector, preserving cultural heritage diversity, and collaborating on initiatives to enhance the educational environment at the Republican Secondary Specialized Music Boarding School named after Mukash Abdraev.

Attendees at the event were also shown a presentation on the reconstruction plans for the school. The discussions highlighted the ongoing commitment of both parties to furthering development and cooperation in various crucial sectors for the welfare and prosperity of the Kyrgyz Republic.
