Akylbek Japarov: President’s Team and Deputies Pave Path to Global Market
Bishkek – The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, recently made a bold comparison during a meeting with deputies in Parliament. He likened President Sadyr Japarov, himself, and the deputies to Peter the Great, a historical figure known for his reforms and modernization efforts.
Japarov spoke about the significance of the current Parliament’s decisions, particularly in relation to major projects such as the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway and the Kambarata hydropower station-1. He highlighted that these decisions will go down in history as pivotal moments for the country’s development.
“Our actions can be compared to those of Peter the Great, who opened a window to Europe. Similarly, we are opening a wide road to the world market,” Japarov emphasized.
The Chairman also addressed the importance of the administrative-territorial reform in improving service delivery to the population, addressing social infrastructure needs, and ensuring access to clean drinking water.
In closing, Japarov expressed gratitude to the Parliament for ratifying the agreement on the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway and passing the bill on the administrative-territorial reform. These steps, he noted, are essential for the country’s progress and future prosperity.
