Akylbek Japarov’s Working Visit to the United States Comes to an End

The recent working visit of Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, to the United States of America has concluded, as reported by the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The Kyrgyzstan delegation, led by Akylbek Japarov, participated in the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group in Washington. Throughout the meetings, discussions were held with key figures from various organizations including the World Bank, IMF, USAID, and several other financial institutions.
During the visit, several important bilateral agreements were signed in Washington. This includes an agreement between the Kyrgyz Republic and the International Development Association for financing the project “Development of Sustainable Agri-Food Clusters” with a value of $35 million. Additionally, another agreement was signed for a second additional financing for the “Sustainable Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Development Project” for $7.64 million, funded by the World Bank.
Furthermore, discussions were held regarding cooperation on the construction of Kambarata HPP-1 and attracting investments in various sectors. The delegation also met with representatives from technology corporations, such as Apple Inc., Nvidia Corporation, and Hewlett-Packard Company, as well as venture investor and entrepreneur Tim Draper.
Overall, the visit to the United States was fruitful and productive, strengthening ties between Kyrgyzstan and international financial and technology partners.
