Ala-Archa National Park’s Revenue Surges 4.5 Times in Two Years

The Ala-Archa National Park in Kyrgyz Republic has seen a significant increase in annual income, going from 51 million soms in 2022 to 230 million in 2024. This boost in revenue was announced by Kanybek Tumanbaev, the head of the Presidential Affairs Department, in an interview with 24.kg news agency.
Under the leadership of state head Sadyr Japarov, Ala-Archa National Park has undergone successful modernization efforts. The focus was on enhancing infrastructure, improving tourist appeal, and driving economic growth in the region.
A key aspect of the modernization was the renovation of hotels, including the installation of “smart locks” and upgrades to guest accommodations in Ak-Bata. The Ala-Archa Hotel has also been revamped to provide modern amenities and a comfortable stay for visitors.
New tourist offerings, such as A-Frame Glamping houses that blend stylish design with eco-friendliness, have been introduced. A restaurant with mountain views has been constructed in close proximity to these accommodations.
The park’s transition to digitalization and cashless payment systems has contributed to the increase in profitability. Furthermore, landscaping improvements, new asphalt pavement, and upgraded lighting have enhanced the overall experience for vacationers.
Looking ahead, plans are in place to construct a parking lot for 2,000 cars and implement an electric vehicle system for transporting tourists within the park. Additionally, there are proposals to build an environmentally friendly hotel, vacation homes, and a cable car.
Special attention has been given to the Tepliye Klyuchi health center, where renovations to the swimming pool, cottages, and restaurant have led to a contribution of 17 million soms to the budget.
Kanybek Tumanbaev emphasized that these initiatives are centered on creating more comfortable recreational opportunities and increasing the park’s appeal to visitors from around the globe. The continued development of Ala-Archa National Park aims to position it as a premier destination for both domestic and international tourists.
