Bishkek – 21:17, 29 April 2025 – 24.kg news agency
Ala-Archa Nature Park is set to implement new regulations beginning May 1, aimed at enhancing the visitor experience while ensuring environmental sustainability. Notably, personal cars will no longer be allowed entry into the park, with the exception of electric vehicles.
To accommodate visitors, a new parking lot capable of holding 700 vehicles has been constructed near the checkpoint, with plans to expand the total capacity to 2,500 cars. This move is expected to manage traffic flow and reduce congestion within the park.
The upgraded checkpoint features modern turnstiles and payment terminals for easier access. Entrance fees will be structured as follows: adults will be charged 200 soms, children aged 7 to 14 will pay 150 soms, and entry is free for children under 7. Visitors will also have access to about 80 electric shuttles behind the checkpoint, offering complimentary transport to various locations within the park.
For those wishing to drive into Ala-Archa in their electric cars, a fee of 800 soms will apply.
In addition to these changes, the park will enforce a ban on barbecuing and open fires starting May 1. Instead, new public catering facilities, including a yurt camp, along with designated picnic areas equipped with gas-powered stoves and grills, will be available for visitors to enjoy.
These new rules reflect a commitment to preserving the natural beauty of Ala-Archa Nature Park while enhancing the overall visitor experience.
