Altynbek Maksutov Removed from Position as Minister of Culture
Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Japarov dismisses Altynbek Maksutov as Minister of Culture, Information, Sports and Youth Policy
Bishkek – In a recent development, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov has signed a decree to dismiss Altynbek Maksutov from his position as Minister of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy. This decision was announced by the press service of the head of state.
Mirbek Mambetaliev has been appointed as the acting Minister of Culture in place of Maksutov. Mambetaliev, born in 1981 in the city of Karakol, has previously served as the Director of State Residence No. 1 until October 2020. On October 12, 2020, he was appointed as the First Deputy Manager of the Presidential and Government Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic. Additionally, he has also held the position of Commissioner for the Prevention of Corruption at Kyrgyzpatent.
This decision marks a significant change in leadership within the Ministry of Culture, Information, Sports, and Youth Policy in Kyrgyzstan.
