The Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Georgia Meets with the Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs
The Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia welcomed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan, Mr. D.Seyitmammedov, for a meeting with the Minister M.Sarjveladze.
During the meeting, both sides acknowledged the significant role played by the official visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia I.Kobakhidze to Turkmenistan in strengthening their bilateral relations. They emphasized the active cooperation between Turkmenistan and Georgia in political, trade-economic, cultural, and humanitarian areas, as well as their collaboration within prominent international organizations.
The Ambassador informed the Minister about the major international events commemorating the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality and the declaration of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust”. He also expressed gratitude to the Government of Georgia for its support and co-sponsorship of the resolution “Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan”, which was adopted during the 61st plenary meeting of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly on 21 March 2025.
Discussions revolved around various aspects of bilateral cooperation, focusing on healthcare, medical tourism, exchange of expertise between medical universities, and the organization of joint conferences, seminars, and forums. Both parties expressed confidence that these collaborative efforts will further enhance the Turkmen-Georgian relations.
The meeting concluded on a positive note, highlighting the mutual commitment to strengthening ties between the two countries in various spheres.
