Ambassador of Turkmenistan Meets with Russian Deputy Minister of Culture
Ambassador Esen Aydogdyev and Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Andrey Malyshev recently met to discuss the current state and future prospects of cultural relations between Turkmenistan and Russia. The meeting highlighted the growing cooperation between the two countries in the cultural and humanitarian sphere, within the framework of their strategic partnership.
One key point of discussion was the upcoming International Conference of Ministers of Culture dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi, where Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation Olga Lyubimova will participate. This event is just one of many planned activities in both countries to commemorate the anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi’s birth.
In addition to the conference, plans include organizing Days of Culture of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan, with a diverse program involving various cultural figures such as cinematographers, composers, artists, and more.
Ambassador Aydogdyev shared details about the significant events planned in Turkmenistan this year, including an International Forum of Heads of State and Government, an International Scientific Conference in Moscow, and the installation of monuments and busts in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Ashgabat in honor of Magtymguly Fragi.
Overall, both parties expressed satisfaction with the current level of cooperation and emphasized the importance of leveraging the extensive potential for further collaboration in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.
