Ambassador of Kyrgyz Republic Meets with US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State
The Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to the United States, Aibek Moldogaziev, along with Consul General Bolotbek Borbiev, recently held a meeting with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs, John Pommersheim on February 11. This meeting, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, focused on various aspects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, John Pommersheim congratulated Ambassador Moldogaziev on the commencement of his diplomatic mission and extended his best wishes for success in his endeavors. The discussions between the parties revolved around political dialogue, the sanctions agenda, project and program activities, as well as the new U.S. migration policy.
Ambassador Moldogaziev reiterated his commitment to enhancing cooperation with the new U.S. administration in key areas, emphasizing the importance of established consultation mechanisms and the C5+1 format for furthering interaction between the two countries.
As the meeting came to a close, both parties expressed their desire to maintain a constructive dialogue and outlined plans for the future development of Kyrgyzstan-USA relations.
