Ankara Convenes Conference in Honor of Magtymguly Fragi’s Wisdom
The Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Türkiye, in collaboration with the Ankara University of Social Sciences and the Union of Engineers and Architects of the Turkic World, organized an International scientific conference on January 5, 2024. The conference was dedicated to declaring 2024 in Turkmenistan as the year of “The Fount of wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi.”
Diplomats, heads of socio-political organizations, representatives of the creative and scientific intelligentsia, as well as members of the media attended the event. The participants praised the creative legacy of the great thinker and emphasized the importance of announcing 2024 as the “Year of the great poet and thinker of the Turkic world Magtymguly Fragi” at the meeting of the permanent council of TURKSOY. Additionally, the inclusion of the Day of Celebration of the 300th Anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi in the list of UNESCO observances, jointly celebrated in 2024–2025, further solidified the international recognition of the work of the great thinker and poet of the East.
The conference shed light on the significant impact of Magtymguly Fragi’s contributions to the Turkic world and emphasized the importance of celebrating and preserving his legacy.
