Ankara Governorship Warns of Cold Weather and Agricultural Frost
The Governor’s Office in Ankara has announced a warning regarding the upcoming cold weather and potential agricultural frost in the region. According to data from the General Directorate of Meteorology analysis and forecasting center, Türkiye is expected to experience cold and rainy weather through the Balkans from Tuesday, March 18 to Monday, March 24.
Temperatures are projected to drop suddenly during this period, with rainfall expected to be in the form of rain and downpour on Tuesday, and mixed with snow on Wednesday. The air temperatures, currently 10 to 15 degrees below seasonal norms, may lead to agricultural frost events in Ankara and other regions with a sudden decrease in agricultural activities. The lowest temperatures are expected to reach 4 degrees after Tuesday, March 18.
