Turkey’s Central Government Budget Revenues and Expenditures Increase in July
Turkey’s Ministry of Treasury and Finance has announced the budget implementation results for July, revealing that the central government budget revenues were 730 billion 930 million liras, while expenditures reached 827 billion 706 million liras.
Compared to the same month last year, budget revenues in July increased by 44.9 percent, showing significant growth. However, budget expenditures also saw a substantial rise, increasing by 81.6 percent. This data highlights the financial activities of the government during a period of economic recovery and instability.
In the broader scope of the January to July period, budget revenues increased by 91.3 percent compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of 4 trillion 562 billion 295 million lira. On the expenditure side, there was also a substantial increase of 91.8 percent, totaling 5 trillion 406 billion 254 million lira.
Despite the growth in revenues, the central government budget still faced a deficit of 96 billion 776 million lira in July and 843 billion 960 million lira in the January to July period. This deficit underscores the ongoing challenges faced by the government in managing its finances amidst a period of economic uncertainty.
