“Announcement of Second Round Election Schedule and New Ballot Paper”
The Chairman of the Supreme Election Board (YSK), Ahmet Yener, has announced that the presidential election has been delayed to a second round due to the candidates not being able to obtain the eligibility to be elected. The second round election process will be held on May 28, and the details have been reported by CNN TÜRK’s correspondent, Arda Erdogan.
According to Erdogan, the new ballot paper for the second round election has been released. The paper will include the pictures and political party logos of the two remaining candidates, as well as the words “Evett” (Yes) and “Hayir” (No), which the voters will use to indicate their preference. The voters will receive a single ballot paper, and they will be required to put an “X” in the circle next to the candidate of their choice.
Erdogan also explained that the election process will take place in a similar manner to the first round election. The voters will visit a designated polling station on the day of the election, where they will receive their ballot paper. They will then proceed to a private booth to mark their vote before placing it in the ballot box.
It is expected that the YSK will closely monitor the second round election process to ensure that it is fair and unbiased. All eligible voters are urged to participate in this important process and have their voices heard. The winner of the presidential election will lead the country for the next four years.
