Announcement regarding transportation aid for earthquake victims.

Transportation Aid Details Announced for Earthquake Victims

The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) has announced the details of transportation aids that will be provided to the victims of the February 6 earthquake who want to return to their cities. According to a Twitter announcement by AFAD, earthquake victims who wish to return to their city by their own vehicles will be able to obtain a travel expense document from the application points set up by the governorships and district governorships. They will be able to provide their travel expenses by declaring that they have arrived at the application point in the province they go to.

The earthquake survivors who want to return from the disaster area will also be able to go to the application centers and get a travel expense document. They can then go to the application points in the province they return to and receive their travel expenses. Citizens who will use public transportation vehicles will be able to apply to the application points and receive their transportation with appropriate vehicles provided by the governorships and district governorships.

In addition, those who buy tickets themselves can apply to the application points and get their ticket fees reimbursed. This aid will be beneficial for the victims who have been struggling with transportation difficulties since the earthquake struck earlier this year.

The earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale struck eastern Turkey on February 6, 2023. Many buildings were damaged and many people lost their lives in the disaster. The transportation difficulty problem has been one of the main issues faced by the victims who are trying to return to their homes since the earthquake. Hopefully, with the transportation aid announced by AFAD, the victims will be able to return to their homes more easily and with less financial difficulty.
