A Bank manager was charged with defrauding several people, including famous football players. One of those individuals, Cüneyt Demir, who claimed to be a victim of the fraud, has denied the allegations against him.
Demir, who runs a hostel in the Çorlu district of Tekirdağ, hometown of the bank manager Seçil Erzan, claimed that he was also defrauded of 150 thousand dollars. He explained that the depositing of the money into the fund started when a relative of Erzan’s father, who worked at the bank, introduced him to the bank manager. He stated that he handed his money to Erzan and another individual named Nazlı Can, believing it would be invested in a profitable fund.
However, when he didn’t receive the promised returns and found out that the bank manager was on leave and the fund didn’t exist, he realized he was defrauded. Demir has also denied allegations that he had threatened Seçil Erzan, stating that he will file a criminal complaint against these claims.
Despite losing a substantial amount of money, Demir remains optimistic that justice will be served and that he will be able to eventually recover his losses. He maintained that he is an honest businessman who has diligently paid taxes and should not be wrongfully accused.
