
Appointment of Turkmenistan Tennis Federation Head as Vice-President of Asian Tennis Federation

Turkmenistan’s Eziz Dovletov Appointed Vice-President of Asian Tennis Federation
Eziz Dovletov, the Chairman of the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan (FTT), has been appointed as the Vice-President of the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) until 2027. The announcement was made during the congress of the Asian Tennis Federation in Bangkok, Thailand.
This significant achievement marks a momentous occasion for Turkmen sports, as Dovletov has now joined the Board of Directors of the Asian Tennis Federation. Out of 53 delegates, 41 voted in favor of his candidacy, demonstrating the widespread support for his appointment.
Dovletov’s organizational skills and professional experience as a tennis player were key factors in his successful appointment as vice president. In addition to this prestigious role, he has also been elected to the committee of the International Tennis Federation (ITF) for the Masters tournaments for 2024-2025. This committee is responsible for overseeing some of the most prestigious tournaments in the world.
Aged 33, Dovletov has an impressive record in tennis, having achieved the title of master of sports and emerged as the winner of the Davis Cup Group IV of the Asia and Oceania zone, as well as numerous international and national tournaments.
Prior to his current appointment, Dovletov served as the General Secretary of the Tennis Federation of Turkmenistan from 2018 to 2021, and subsequently as the vice-chairman from 2021 to mid-2022. In July 2022, he ascended to the position of Chairman of the organization.
His latest appointment as Vice-President of the Asian Tennis Federation is a testament to his dedication and contributions to the sport of tennis, both within Turkmenistan and on the international stage.
