Uzbekistan Welcomes Over 1 Million Foreign Tourists in Historic Milestone
In April 2025, Uzbekistan achieved a remarkable feat by welcoming over 1 million foreign tourists, as reported by the State Committee for Tourism. This milestone not only sets a record for the nation but also highlights the burgeoning potential of Uzbekistan’s tourism sector.
The committee emphasized that this achievement is a testament to the country’s increasing attractiveness as a travel destination. Plans are already underway to further enhance the tourism industry by expanding the range of internationally competitive services and promoting eco-friendly and sustainable tourism practices. These initiatives are aimed at consolidating Uzbekistan’s position as a globally appealing and competitive travel hub.
According to data from the National Statistics Committee, between January and February 2025, the nation saw a substantial influx of 1.3 million visitors from abroad for tourism purposes. This figure represents a significant increase of 361,200 tourists, translating to a 37.1% rise compared to the same timeframe in the previous year.

- China: 14,062 visitors
