
Architect of Grand Kartal Released Following Bolu Fire Disaster

BREAKING NEWS: Architect of Grand Kartal Hotel, where fire disaster in Bolu happened, released
The investigation into the fire that occurred at the Grand Kartal Hotel on January 21 in Bolu continues, as reported by the Bolu Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Following their detention, 11 more individuals were taken to the courthouse after their procedures at the gendarmerie. After being interrogated by the prosecutor’s office, 6 of the suspects were arrested by the on-duty judgeship, while 5 were released on condition of judicial control. This brings the total number of people arrested in connection with the investigation to 15.
In addition, the cases against 4 suspects, including Bolu Deputy Mayor Sedat Gülener and Deputy Fire Chief Kenan Coşkun, are still ongoing.
Of the 14 suspects previously detained in the investigation, 9 individuals, including Grand Kartal Hotel’s owner Halit Ergül, the company’s general manager Emir Aras, hotel manager Zeki Yılmaz, accounting manager, cook, electrician, and kitchen staff, were arrested. The occupational safety specialist was released on condition of judicial control. The hotel’s interior designer has also been released.
Furthermore, a new development related to the fire tragedy has emerged. The residences of the relatives of those who lost their lives in the fire have been determined, and a detention order has been issued.
The investigation into the fire at the Grand Kartal Hotel in Bolu is ongoing, with authorities working to bring all those responsible to justice.
