Arıklı’s Proposal with 1500 Signatures Presented for Presidential Candidate – BRTK
The Rebirth Party (YDP) Chairman and Public Works and Transportation Minister Erhan Arıklı has presented a proposal to amend the Election and Refluctation Law, in order to become a presidential candidate. The proposal, which requires signatures from 1500 people, has been published in the Official Gazette for public information.
According to the proposal, real and legal persons have twenty days to submit their opinions and suggestions in writing to the Presidency of the Assembly, as long as they are directly related to the content of the law amendment.
In addition to the qualifications and application conditions already outlined for presidential candidates in the law, the proposal by the Rebirth Party (YDP) President Erhan Arıklı requires the submission of the names of at least 1500 citizens, along with their identity card numbers, seating addresses, and a Candidate Candidate Certificate approved by a notary public. These documents must be submitted to the Supreme Election Board along with the application.
