Armed Man Robs Catering Outlet in Kara-Balta City
Law enforcement in Kyrgyzstan have successfully apprehended a suspect in a recent robbery case at a catering outlet in Kara-Balta city. The Department of Internal Affairs of Chui region reported that on August 30, a woman working at the establishment contacted the police to report the incident.
According to the woman, a masked man armed with a rebar entered through the emergency entrance in the morning and demanded money from the cash register. In fear for her life, she handed over 42,000 soms to the perpetrator who also took two cell phones before locking her in and fleeing the scene.
A case has been opened under the article “Robbery” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic, and the suspect has been identified as a 47-year-old individual known as A.B. He has been placed in a temporary detention center as the investigation continues. Law enforcement has seized material evidence as part of the ongoing criminal case.
