Arrests made for loan promise fraud

Four individuals have been arrested in Turkey for allegedly defrauding a man of 360 thousand lira. The suspects, identified as YK, TD, MB, and FCA, reportedly took a loan from the victim’s internet banking account under the false pretense of providing a loan themselves. The money was then transferred to different accounts.

The victim, identified as Y.G., became aware of the fraud and reported the incident to the police. Following an investigation by the Public Security Branch Directorate teams, the suspects were detained.

After the necessary procedures at the police station, YK and TD were referred to the courthouse and subsequently arrested. The other suspects, MB and FCA, were released under judicial control.

The case highlights the importance of vigilance when conducting financial transactions, especially online. Authorities urge the public to be cautious and report any suspicious activities to prevent falling victim to such scams.
