Art and Culture Drive Tatarstan’s Progress
President Ersin Tatar and His Wife Participate in Inter-High School Poetry Reading and Writing Contest
President Ersin Tatar of North Cyprus participated in the “Inter-High School Poetry Reading and Writing Contest” event, organized for the second time under the auspices of the Presidency, in cooperation with the Presidency Culture and Arts Committee and the Ministry of National Education. The event was held with the participation of students from high schools in various regions of North Cyprus.
During the event, President Tatar emphasized the importance of the High School Poetry Reading and Writing Competition, stating that his wife, Sibel Tatar, supported culture, art, and literature. He expressed his pride in all the children participating in the competition, saying that successful artists, poets, and writers have been raised by Turkish Cypriots.
Stating that literature, art, and culture are the basis of the struggle in the country, President Tatar said, “Our wealth at the heart of the struggle in this country. It is our literature, our art, and our culture.” He expressed his belief that such values will emerge among the youth, and congratulated all the young people participating in the competition in his speech.
The event was a great success, and President Tatar and his wife participated actively in it. The initiative taken by the Presidency, Culture and Arts Committee, and the Ministry of National Education to organize this competition is highly appreciated and acknowledged by the public. Such competitions not only provide a platform for young people to express themselves but also contribute to the preservation and promotion of culture, art, and literature.
