ASCO Reports Increase in Cargo Volume for the First Quarter of 2025

The Azerbaijan Caspian Shipping Company (ASCO) has announced the volume of cargo transported by its vessels during the first quarter of 2025. According to the company, a total of 1,034,039 tons of liquid cargo was transported by ASCO tankers from January to March, which is 7.6% more compared to the same period last year.

In addition to liquid cargo, ferry vessels owned by ASCO transported 7,905 railway wagons and 9,050 motor vehicles during the first quarter of 2025. This represents a slight decrease of 10.6% in railway wagons and 1.1% in motor vehicles compared to January-March 2024.

Moreover, universal dry cargo vessels under ASCO’s ownership transported 441,322 tons of cargo during the mentioned period. This amount is significantly higher, 2.8 times more, than the cargo volume transported in the first quarter of the previous year.

The increase in cargo volume transported by ASCO vessels demonstrates the company’s continued growth and efficiency in providing maritime transportation services. It also reflects the demand for reliable and efficient cargo transportation solutions in the region.
