ASELSAN Acquires Full Ownership of BİTES Defense Company
Turkish defense industry giant, ASELSAN, has announced that it has acquired the remaining 49% of BİTES, a defense technology company, making it the sole owner of the company. ASELSAN previously owned 51% of the shares of BİTES, which specializes in research, design, development, and engineering in the fields of augmented reality, artificial intelligence, and simulation software.
The acquisition is seen as a strategic move by ASELSAN to strengthen its position in the defense industry and expand its capabilities in cutting-edge technologies. BİTES has been a key player in the industry, collaborating with several defense companies, including ASELSAN, HAVELSAN, and TUSAŞ. With this acquisition, BİTES will now operate under the name BİTES Defense Aviation and Space Technologies Yazılım Elektronik Ticaret A.Ş., as a wholly-owned subsidiary of ASELSAN.
