Asian Cycling Confederation President to Visit Turkmenistan
President of the Asian Cycling Confederation and head of the UAE Cycling Federation, Osama Al-Shafar, is reportedly set to visit Turkmenistan in the near future. The UAE Embassy in Turkmenistan made the announcement on their Instagram page, revealing that the visit has been organised following discussions with Deputy Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan, Berdyniyaz Myatiyev, and UAE Ambassador to Turkmenistan, Ahmed Al Hameli. During their meeting, the two sides also discussed potential ways to expand the economic and cultural cooperation between the two countries.
This latest visit follows an earlier trip made by the Arab cycling team “Al-Watba” from the UAE earlier this year, where discussions were held on strengthening cooperation in the field of sports.
