Aşık Mahzuni Şerif Tunnel opens for two-way traffic
The Asık Mahzuni Şerif Tunnel in Kahramanmaraş has been reopened to traffic after undergoing repairs due to damage caused by recent earthquakes. The tunnel, which was closed on August 28 for improvement and repair work in a 30-meter section, has now been fully restored.
After the tube of the tunnel in the Göksun direction was reopened on November 7, traffic was rerouted through alternative routes to accommodate the maintenance works. Now, both directions of the tunnel are open to traffic, providing a convenient passage for drivers once again.
