Asman Airlines Plans to Expand with Flights to Uzbekistan

Asman Airlines, a Kyrgyzstani carrier, is expanding its operations with plans to launch flights to Uzbekistan by the end of this year. This news comes from the head of the airline’s parent company, Airports of Kyrgyzstan, who shared updates with the Russian news agency TASS.

To support these international routes, Asman Airlines intends to acquire two Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft in 2026-2027. The company is also looking into launching flights to countries in the Middle East and Europe, with plans to start operating flights to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in 2025.

In 2024, Asman Airlines acquired three Dash 8-400 aircraft from Canada’s De Havilland, which are currently being used for domestic routes within Kyrgyzstan. These flights connect Bishkek with various cities including Osh, Karakol, Talas, and Jalal-Abad.

This expansion of international routes to Uzbekistan is in line with the growing aviation sector in the region. Another Kyrgyz airline, Tez Jet, recently received approval from Uzbekistan’s aviation authority to operate flights to the country. Reports suggest that Tez Jet is planning to launch flights between Bishkek and Tashkent starting in September.

With these strategic moves, Asman Airlines and Tez Jet are set to play a significant role in connecting Kyrgyzstan with its neighboring countries and beyond, catering to the growing demand for air travel in the region.
