Assault and Rape of Woman by Two Men in Bishkek
Law enforcement officers in Bishkek have detained two men suspected of rape, as reported by the Department of Internal Affairs of Sverdlovsky district. The incident took place on November 24, and the victim filed a report on December 19, leading to the opening of a case under the article “Rape” of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Investigators from the Main Criminal Investigation Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were able to identify and detain the two 36-year-old suspects, who are currently being held in the temporary detention facility of the Main Department of Internal Affairs in Bishkek. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
According to a source in law enforcement speaking to 24.kg news agency, the rape occurred in a park near Kozhzavod, with one of the perpetrators fleeing to Jalal-Abad region following the incident. Shockingly, one of the perpetrators even filmed the rape on a mobile phone camera.
