Healthcare Team Attacked After Being Accused of Being Late
A troubling incident took place on Kastamonu Street in the Kırkevler Neighborhood, where a group of individuals attacked the 112 emergency health team. The team had responded to a call from the relatives of a citizen who had fallen ill and needed urgent assistance. The incident occurred after the team arrived at the scene and was accused of being late by the patient’s family members.
The ambulance driver, identified as Ö.S., sustained injuries to his hand during the attack. Fortunately, local citizens intervened and helped calm the situation, allowing the healthcare team to provide medical treatment to the ill citizen. Subsequently, the patient was transported to Çankırı State Hospital for further care.
Following the distressing event, the healthcare team promptly reported the incident to the authorities and filed a complaint against the attackers. Çankırı Provincial Health Director Dr. Hüseyin Sarıkaya issued a statement condemning the attack and assured that legal action would be taken against those responsible.
