Associations now welcome at UETS – Breaking News

The Ministry of Interior and PTT Share Data for Electronic Notifications

A recent statement by the ministry highlighted the signing of a data sharing protocol between the PTT and the Ministry of Interior with the aim of creating electronic notification addresses for associations in UETS.

The technical studies under this protocol have been successfully completed, and currently, 101,340 organizations registered in the Associations Information System (DERBİS) have had 85,315 organizations created with UETS accounts. These accounts are ready to be activated when needed.

It was mentioned that out of the 1,598 organizations that applied to the PTT, 8,149 of them either did not have a tax identification number (VKN) or had faulty information in the system.

With the automatic generation of VKNs for newly established organizations, their UETS accounts are created automatically as well. Notifications prepared by the General Directorate of Civil Society and Relations with Provincial Civil Society Relations will be sent to organizations using UETS through the E-Cicism system.

Furthermore, a user manual on how to send electronic notifications via e-icis has been prepared. Electronic notifications will be provided to associations with active UETS accounts. In the year 2024, a total of 14,301 notifications were made by provincial directorates, with 9,109 sent by hand and 5,192 sent by post. The cost for notifications to associations is 10 pounds.

Although the Electronic Notification Regulation mandates electronic notifications to associations, it is anticipated that some associations may not have active UETS accounts. Thus, activating these accounts, which were created as a result of integration studies, is crucial. Efforts will be made to encourage associations to activate their UETS accounts using various communication channels by the General Directorate and 81 Provincial Directorates.
