TRNC Athletics Federation to Host Atatürk Road Run Tomorrow
The Atatürk Road Run, organized by the TRNC Athletics Federation, is set to take place tomorrow in various cities across Northern Cyprus.
In Nicosia, the 8-kilometer race will begin at 08.00 on Hamitköy Ring Road. Participants can collect their chest numbers at Atatürk Stadium between 07.00 – 07.30 on the day of the competition and will be transported to the race starting point by shuttle. The award ceremony will be held at Atatürk Stadium at 09.30.
The race will feature age categories for men and women, including the 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and over 60 years of age classifications. Athletes can register for the race through the link provided on the federation’s Facebook page.
In Kyrenia, races will be held in six categories, including primary school girls and boys, secondary school girls and boys, and high school girls and boys. The primary school girls’ race will start from Kyrenia Bazaar, while all other races will start from the Atatürk Bust next to Ziraat Bank, with each category finishing in front of the Atatürk Bust.
Famagusta, Guzelyurt, Iskele, and Lefke will also host races, with each city organizing various categories and ceremonies to commemorate the day. Athletes will be transported to starting points by municipality vehicles, and award ceremonies will take place at different locations in each city.
