
Attempted Assassination of Komil Allamjonov Leads to Criminal Investigation

A criminal case has been initiated following an armed attack on Komil Allamjonov, a former head of the Presidential Administration’s Information Policy Department. The incident, classified under Article 25, Section 97 of the Criminal Code as attempted premeditated murder, is currently under investigation.
The Prosecutor General’s Office has reported that the attack took place on October 26 at approximately 1:40 a.m. while a Range Rover, driven by an individual identified as S.S., was moving along Ifor Street in the Qibray district. Two unknown assailants fired multiple shots at the vehicle before quickly making their escape. Fortunately, no injuries were sustained during the attack.
In response to this alarming incident, a rapid and thorough investigation has been launched. A team of seasoned law enforcement officers is actively engaged in search operations to identify and capture the suspects involved. Every possible lead is being pursued to ensure that those responsible are brought to justice.
According to reports, the attack occurred near Allamjonov’s residence in the Qibray district around 1:30 a.m. Although the vehicle in which Allamjonov was traveling was targeted with gunfire, he emerged from the incident unharmed.
