The Zangazur Corridor: A New Bridge for the Turkic World
At a recent panel organized by the Republic of Türkiye Directorate of Communications, Aygun Aliyeva, the executive director of the Agency for State Support to Non-Governmental Organizations of Azerbaijan, shared significant insights about the Zangazur Corridor. This corridor is poised to serve as a vital connection for the Turkic nations.
Aliyeva emphasized that despite historical efforts to divide Turkic states, unity remains unbroken. "Today, the Turkic world is not just an idea but a reality that carries a historical mission," she stated. She further asserted that this connection through common heritage must be actively safeguarded and promoted. According to her, Azerbaijan’s victory in the Second Karabakh War represents not only a national achievement but a triumph for all Turkic people.
She expressed optimism that the Zangazur Corridor will soon come to fruition, serving as an essential link uniting various Turkic countries. In addition to discussing the corridor, Aliyeva highlighted the efforts of her agency in fostering collaboration among non-governmental organizations. A significant event on the horizon is the Forum of Non-Governmental Organizations of Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan, aimed at strengthening ties among civil societies of Turkic nations within the Organization of Turkic States (OTS).
As the dialogue continues, the Zangazur Corridor stands as a beacon of hope for the Turkic world, promising a future of enhanced cooperation and solidarity.
