Azerbaijan Wishes Turkmenistan Prosperity in the Upcoming New Year
As the year 2023 comes to a close, Gismat Fuzuli oglu Gozalov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan, extends his sincerest congratulations to the brotherly Turkmen people on the upcoming New Year in 2024.
Under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the national leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Turkmenistan has continued to prosper and evolve. Ambassador Gozalov believes that the upcoming year will bring great accomplishments to Turkmenistan.
Azerbaijan has always paid special attention to expanding relations and cooperation with Turkmenistan. The two countries share a common history, ethnic roots, language, brotherhood, and mutual respect, leading to a significant development in their relations in recent years. As a result of the deliberate policy of the heads of their states, Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan have become strategic partners, with their relations continuing to expand fruitfully.
In 2023, relations between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan developed at a high pace, with work concerning the implementation of bilateral projects of strategic importance continuing. This included business trips, regular contacts, and the signing of documents in various fields, all of which played an important role in expanding cooperation between the two nations.
The growth in trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan increased fivefold in the past year, with the growth rate continuing into 2023. Both countries remain dedicated to strengthening their traditional brotherly relations and expanding the scope of their mutual cooperation.
Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan successfully cooperate in political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian fields, with their collaboration continuing successfully within the framework of international and regional organizations. Azerbaijan also respects the policy of Permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan, recognizing the great success achieved by the country in its foreign policy regarding this status.
As the New Year is celebrated in Turkmenistan, including in the city of Ashgabat and the new city of Arkadag, Ambassador Gozalov reiterates his congratulations to the brotherly Turkmen people and wishes them peace, tranquility, and prosperity in the upcoming year.
