Azerbaijan and China to Enhance Institutional Banking Cooperation
Taleh Kazimov, the Governor of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, and Pan Gongsheng, the chairman of the People’s Bank of China, recently met to discuss institutional cooperation in the banking sector between their respective countries. The meeting took place during the AlUlaCEME2025 conference and focused on various topics related to monetary policy reforms, digital currencies, financial technologies, and ways to deepen institutional cooperation.
Both parties exchanged views on the reforms being implemented by their central banks, as well as on the trends in expanding the application of digital currencies and financial technologies in the banking sector. Additionally, they discussed the importance of organizing knowledge and experience exchanges as a means to deepen institutional cooperation between the two institutions.
