Azerbaijan and North Macedonia Discuss Cooperation in Combating Cybercrime
Azerbaijan and North Macedonia have recently engaged in discussions regarding cooperation in combating cybercrime. The meeting took place between Azerbaijan’s Minister of Internal Affairs (MIA), Colonel-General Vilayat Eyvazov, and his North Macedonian counterpart Panche Toshkovski.
During the meeting, Eyvazov provided an overview of Azerbaijan’s MIA, including its functions, duties, and activities. He also shared insights on the current criminogenic situation in the country, emphasizing the importance of protecting human rights and ensuring citizen satisfaction. The minister stressed the significance of joint efforts in combating major types of transnational organized crime such as illegal drug trafficking, international terrorism, human trafficking, illegal migration, and cybercrime.
The discussion between the two parties also focused on areas of cooperation in fighting cybercrime, exchanging experiences, and addressing mutual interests. Toshkovski expressed his organization’s interest in expanding cooperation with Azerbaijan’s MIA, particularly in learning from advanced experiences in fighting crime and maintaining public order.
