Azerbaijan Celebrates National Salvation Day with Military Events
Baku, June 15 – In celebration of National Salvation Day on June 15, a series of events were held in various military institutions and organizations in Azerbaijan, according to the action plan approved by Azerbaijan’s Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov. The Ministry of Defense informed AZERTAC about the activities organized on this special day.
As part of the celebrations, military personnel paid visits to Heydar Aliyev centers, museums, and monuments. They watched films that showcased the remarkable life and achievements of the National Leader. Additionally, conferences, round tables, and various cultural and mass events were organized.
During these events, a minute of silence was observed to honor the memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, as well as the Shehids (Martyrs) who bravely sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
Speakers at the events highlighted the progress made in the country since the return of the National Leader to power for the second time. They also spoke about the successful continuation of his policies by President Ilham Aliyev, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Azerbaijan, and emphasized the historical significance of the victorious Patriotic War.
The celebrations also included vibrant concert programs featuring the participation of the teams from the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov, as well as the Ideological and Cultural Center of the Ganja Garrison. Prominent artists and cultural figures added to the festive atmosphere.
As a token of recognition for their exceptional combat training, a group of military personnel were presented with honorary diplomas at the end of the events.
National Salvation Day is an important occasion for Azerbaijan, celebrating its successful journey towards progress, unity, and safeguarding its territorial integrity. The celebrations serve as a reminder of the sacrifices made by the nation’s brave heroes and the visionary leadership that guides Azerbaijan towards a prosperous future.
