Azerbaijan sees sharp increase in fertilizer imports from Netherlands
Despite a decrease in volume, Azerbaijan saw a significant increase in the value of fertilizer imports in the first two months of 2025. According to data, the country imported 23,225 tons of fertilizer, excluding organic fertilizers, with a total value of $10.3 million.
This marks an 8% decline in volume compared to the same period last year, but a notable 20% surge in value. The rise in value indicates that Azerbaijan is importing higher-priced fertilizers, possibly due to a shift in demand or an increase in the cost of fertilizers on the global market.
